about us

Beyond the Perimeter Badminton is a committee of volunteers dedicated to growing the sport in rural Manitoba. Founded in 2021, the cohort started with just two clubs: the St-Pierre Badminton Club (with the support of its board) and the Niverville Badminton Club.

 

In 2022-2023, we expanded with a new weekly open training session where the priority is practice and training (as opposed to only game play) as well as one session per week in Ste-Agathe as of early 2023. We also hosted our first camp in March 2023 in St-Pierre, where we hosted 38 athletes (ages 5-15) from seven different communities.

In 2023-2024, we've officially brought the Ste-Agathe Badminton Club into the fold and have expanded its programs. We are also collaborating with and facilitating Sports en français's badminton programs, have added the St-Norbert Badminton Club to our family of clubs, and have expanded our programming to include camps, school and club clinics, mini-minton, and tournaments.
